Professional Experience: Adrianna D. Knowles was taken on as an Associate at the former Firm of Harry B. Sands and Company in January of 1998 following the successful completion of her pupilage in Chambers. Under her pupil master Harry B. Sands, Adrianna was allowed to experience the broad range of Chamber work. She became a partner at the present Firm in January, 2008.

Corporate Law: Adrianna has extensive experience in corporate law including the incorporation of International Business Companies and local Bahamian Companies, foreign registrations and the continuation of companies to and from foreign jurisdictions and continuation of companies from a local company to an International Business Company. She is responsible for the maintenance, management and administration of companies. Her services include preparing corporate resolutions of any nature, opinions, liquidations, restorations, assisting with the establishment of bank accounts, obtaining shop, music and dance, restaurant and bar licences, business name registrations and Exchange Control applications where needed. In addition, she provides nominee and shareholder services as well as mailbox services. She conducts thorough corporate searches and is keen on record keeping and confidentiality. She has advised on the structuring and restructuring of corporate and business ventures to both local and international clients. She prepares, reviews and vetts corporate agreements. Her work also includes the establishment of foundations under The Foundations Act.

Time-Share: Adrianna has experience with time-share projects. She has advised the developer and purchaser on various issues relating to time sharing under The Bahamas Vacation Plan and Time Sharing Act. She has gained wide experience in relation to the stamping and recording of the time share deeds.

Other Services: In addition to her experience mentioned above, Adrianna also has broad experience in notarizing documents and having documents apostilled in The Bahamas and abroad. She is also proficient with the compliance laws of The Bahamas. She has assisted with the preparation of applications to the Securities Commission of The Bahamas with respect to investment funds in The Bahamas. Also, Estate Planning and Probate has formed a part of Adrianna’s practice. She has prepared applications for probate and letters of administration and has advised on estate planning and administration. She also has experience in the preparation and execution of wills and codicils.
