Professional Experience: Camille Cleare has acquired considerable experience appearing before a range of courts and tribunals, including the Civil and Commercial Side of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the Industrial Tribunal as well as Court appointed and voluntary mediations.

Camille was taken on as an associate at the former Firm of Harry B. Sands and Company in December 1998 following the successful completion of her pupillage under Ferron Bethell. She became a partner at the present Firm in 2003.

Employment Law: Camille has regularly appeared in the Industrial Tribunal and Courts at all levels representing both claimants and respondents in cases involving wrongful dismissal, discrimination, unfair dismissal, employment contract interpretations.

She has advised on cases involving termination for misconduct, incompetence, insubordination, reasonable notice, maternity rights, age discrimination, redundancy, pension benefits part-time workers rights, disability discrimination, demotion, many aspects of wrongful dismissal and breach of contract, industrial unrest, and union negotiations.

Contract Law: Camille has gained considerable experience in a broad range of commercial contract disputes. She has had carriage of a number of cases involving breaches of lease agreements, claims for specific performance, condominium disputes, debt collection, joint venture breaches, partnership disputes, construction contracts, and public licence interpretations. This experience includes all stages of claim including interlocutory injunctions, strike outs, asset freezing and search and seizure orders.

Negligence and Personal Injury Law: Camille has acted for major insurance companies and resort developments in resolving, quantifying and defending numerous claims for various acts of negligence resulting in personal injuries and death. She has also advised on professional negligence cases and compulsory pilotage.

Property Law: Camille has acted in several large cases for both documentary and possessory title holders to land in title investigations under the Quieting Titles Act before the Supreme Court, Court appointed Referee and the Court of Appeal. She has also advised and acted in cases of trespass, adverse possession and priority.

Public Administrative Law and Commercial Law: Camille has assisted as a Junior in advising and representing public regulatory bodies on aspects of telecommunications law, public and administrative law. She is also currently assisting in a large fraud case therefore gaining experience in aspects of fiduciary duties, constructive trusts and dishonest assistance.
