Professional Experience: Following her pupilage, Lakeisha joined the Chambers of Obie Ferguson & Co. where she was able to focus her practice within the areas of Industrial Relations and Employment Law under the guidance of Obie Ferguson Jr. a leader in the field. She joined the Firm of Harry B. Sands, Lobosky & Company in 2011.

Employment Law: Lakeisha deals with all aspects of employment litigation and advisory work – including labour disputes commencing in the Labour Department and progressing through the Bahamas Industrial Tribunal and on to the Court of Appeal, judicial review matters involving the Registrar of Trade Unions as well as providing opinions on contract terms, discipline, dismissals, grievances and rights

Negligence & Personal Injury Law: Lakeisha’s practice in the area of negligence law has greatly expanded in recent years. She undertakes a wide variety of personal injury work, where she historically acted for claimants she more recently acts for the insured in defending claims.

Contract Law: Lakeisha undertakes a variety of cases with a contractual element whether advising on breaches or enforceability.

General Practice: Whilst focusing her litigation practice on employment and negligence law Lakeisha has still managed to acquire experience in dealing with matrimonial disputes including divorce, legal separation, ancillary matters as well as child custody.
